Many of our interns don’t have previous experience in their chosen field, so you can start at a level you’re comfortable with. During your time in Uganda, you’ll receive extensive support from Avella Sights staff. There is also the opportunity to take part in outreaches in disadvantaged communities, so that you can give back while you learn.

If you’re interested in more general healthcare issues affecting local communities, our Public Health internships may be a better fit. We also offer a number of other internships in the healthcare field, such as Nursing or Occupational Therapy.

We have the Avella Impact Database to track the positive impact of our projects. It’s secure and anonymous and we use it to identify specific areas of need.
